KROST x FILA Renno
Donated $1,750 to Good Sports
We had the exciting opportunity to contribute to FILA’s iconic history with the KROST x FILA Renno Sneaker debut last year, which featured a never before seen silhouette & design. Digging into FILA’s history to create an entirely new design that combines traditional sportswear with KROST’s contemporary aesthetic was an exceptionally exciting opportunity for our team - and we were beyond grateful to extend our collaboration this year, with the second release of the KROST x FILA Renno. The sneaker promotion reached new heights for us - being featured in advertisements throughout the New York City subways. In our effort to create equitable access to sports for kids through donations of equipment, apparel, and footwear, we donated a portion of proceeds to national non profit Good Sports.
KROST x Barneys Second Collection & NYRP
Donated $1,575 to NYRP & built a Garden Worth $2,500 of food
In May, we launched our second collection with the iconic Barneys New York. The foundation of the KROST and Barneys New York collaboration originated with both our brands’ desire to support the community members of New York City. With a 40% increase in food insecurity since the start of the pandemic, our mission to support carried on through our partnership with New York Restoration Project in a garden growing initiative that actively contributed to the wellbeing of neighborhoods across NYC.
Support Your Friends by KROST Basics & No Kid Hungry
Donated 45,700 Meals to No Kid Hungry
In February, we launched our very first basics line! Various youth-leaders were invited to take part in the Basics campaign, which gave us the opportunity to dive deeper into the brand’s story by highlighting the individual people who devote their lives to important organizations that help shape the world. In August we had the privilege to partner with No Kid Hungry, a non profit organization with a mission to resolve food insecurity among children, for the launch of our summer and fall/winter basics. We are extremely grateful for our work with No Kid Hungry because it has given us the opportunity to form lasting impacts on the lives of thousands of children across America.
Fall Mainline With FoodBank & One Warm Coat
Donated 100,000 meals or $20,000 to Foodbank For NYC
Donated 3500 coats or $3,500 to One Warm Coat
October marked a year since we officially partnered with Food Bank for NYC & One Warm Coat to provide the members of our community with two basic necessities of life: food & clothing. With over 70,000 meals and 3,500 coats donated, we are extremely proud of what we have accomplished together over the past year. We were delighted to extend our support this year with the release of our Fall 2021 collection. From intricate appliqué and embroidered details and exceptionally soft fabrics, the collection is our largest to date and includes a variety of our most elevated pieces ever made. Combining our mission into the physical aspects of the collection was an integral component for this year’s story, and each piece features sophisticated stitch designs that reflect our 3 valuable brand pillars: Community, Support, and New York.
Retail Storefronts, Dumbo & 158 Mercer Street
November presented another milestone moment for the brand, the opening of our storefront in Soho! The storefront design features bleachers - inspired by our collaboration with sportswear giant FILA and further inspired by national non-profit Good Sports, an organization that works to give all kids the lifelong benefits of sport and physical activity by providing equipment, apparel and footwear to those most in need - in which 10% of sales from the KROST x FILA Renno will be donated to them. The design also features several plant arrangements inspired by our 2021 Fall/Winter Mainline collection, and on a broader scale pays tribute to the mission of "Support Your Planet" and our efforts in protecting the environment - as seen through some of our previous work with Non-Profit partners (Eden Reforestation Projects, New York Restoration Project), & Upcycle Capsules.
