Support One Another in the Fight for Gun Reform

A Letter From Our Founder, Samuel Krost

We are deeply saddened and at a loss for words over the mass school shooting that occurred at Robb Elementary school in Uvalde, Texas. As a brand inspired by the work of March for Our Lives, an organization that is committed to raising awareness, speaking up, and pushing the boundaries to further address the deep-rooted conditions that drive the scourge of gun violence.

It is painfully unbearable to accept the tragic loss and injuries of students: Xavier Lopez, Uziyah Garcia, Amerie Jo Garza, Annabell Rodriguez, Rogelio Torres, Ellie Lugo, Miranda Mathis, Maite Yuleana Rodriguez, Makenna Lee Elrod, Eliahana Torres, Lexi Rubio, Tess Marie, Naveah Bravo, Jose Flores, Alithia Ramirez, Jayce Carmelo Luevanos, Jailah Nicole Silguero, and teachers: Eva Mireles, and Irma Garcia, and all of the other victims, their families, friends, and community members forever impacted by yesterday’s events.

As we share the shocking grief of the ones we lost yesterday, let us hold them close to our hearts and pray for all involved, and may our combined efforts bring forth miracles in the lives of those who will continue to suffer in the days to come.

Today, we must be a strong force in dedicating our time to learning, teaching, and pushing for change for all mothers, fathers, children, and teachers to feel safe and protected.

Almost 250 mass shootings have taken place in only the first half of 2022, contributing to the public health crisis of gun violence in the United States. Every day another life is taken from this depressing reality— a reality that does not come with a simple solution. Yet, these extensive and increasingly necessary steps can act as a strong starting point to ending gun violence once and for all:

  • Contact your representatives and tell them that you support universal background checks. You can also sign a petition here.
  • Volunteer at and or join your local gun violence prevention organization.
  • Educate yourself and others on standing up to gun violence, along with sharing credible resources.
  • Support community safety plans to prevent mass shootings.
  • Build awareness of the importance of secure gun storage.
  • Donate to fund the CDC’s gun violence research.

As KROST’s own mission is to help create a world where people stand together, we are committed to encouraging the support of gun safety to make up for the time and lives lost.
